Brazilian Jazz Collective
Founded in 2023, the West Coast Brazilian Jazz Collective brings together for women who specialize in Brazilian jazz and folkloric music. Renowned flutist Rebecca Kleinmann, Bay Area percussionist/educator Ami Molinelli and bassist Tomoko Funaki, and local jazz pianist Kerry Politzer put their talents together to perform a program including choros, sambas, and works by Hermeto Pascoal (one of which he wrote especially for Kleinmann).
